Conditions of Use

General terms and conditions of business

Please find below the general terms and conditions for events (such as conferences, meetings, presentations, banquets, etc.).

These terms and conditions are part of the contract of the placed order and different terms and conditions of the organizer are invalid. The organizer submits to these conditions as well as to all relevant trade law or other
writings. The binding conclusion of the contract comes about when the organizer confirms the sent group reservation and sends it back with a company signature. A non-proprietary signing is at the expense of the organizer.

1. Guarantee of the participants
For events, the Steinberger Hotels require precise details of the persons taking part or any changes to the arrangement at least 4 working days before the start of the event. The specified number of people is the minimum number and will be invoiced to the event organizer by the Steinberger Hotels. Additional covers, food, drinks, tobacco products, etc. provided by the hotel will be charged additionally.

2. Cancellation of Events
An event with up to 20 participants can be canceled free of charge up to 6 weeks before the start of the event and for 21 or more participants up to 3 months in advance.

3 months - 29 days calculation of the rent plus 10% of the lost turnover
(minimum arrangement x number of people)

Day 28 – Day 08 Calculation of rent plus 33% of lost sales
(minimum arrangement x number of people)

07 Day – 02 Day Calculation of rent plus 66% of lost sales

01 day or on the day of the event | Calculation of the rent plus 100% of the lost sales

Wedding deposits already paid are non-refundable and will be forfeited if the event is cancelled.

3. Prices
The prices we offer are inclusive of all taxes, duties and services, excluding any bank charges or transfer fees. Valid until further notice.

4. Valuables
Valuables, cash, etc. brought in by the participants of the event can be deposited in the hotel safe free of charge, subject to availability. Otherwise the hotel accepts no liability.

5. Beverage billing
Unless otherwise agreed, drinks will be billed according to actual consumption. The organizer submits to the quantification by the hotel.

6. Food and drinks brought by the organizer
No food or drink may be brought into the hotel for consumption without the written consent of the hotel. The Steinberger Hotels reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for food and drinks they bring with them.

7. Decoration and technical devices
The organizer is obliged to inform the hotel of the intended installation of decorative material or other objects and to obtain consent. The premises must not be damaged and the decoration must correspond to the style of the house. The attachment must be carried out by qualified personnel and all fire safety regulations must be observed. If necessary, the costs for electricity consumption etc. are to be borne by the organizer. All premises used in connection with an event must be handed over in perfect condition after the end of the event. All costs associated with production and dismantling shall be borne by the organizer.

8. Music
If musical performances are planned by the organizer during the event, we ask them to submit the necessary registrations with AKM and amusement tax in good time. The hotel must have the confirmed forms
be presented for inspection one week before the appointment. We ask for your understanding that the hotel, as the event location, is legally obliged to ensure compliance with various requirements.

9. Liability
The organizer is liable for damage caused by guests, employees and agents of the organizer. If necessary, the hotel can request that the organizer take out suitable insurance. The hotel is only liable for damage to items brought in or loss of the same if it is its own fault and under no circumstances if third-party companies are to blame.

10. Cancellation by Hotel
The hotel is entitled to terminate the contractual relationship at any time and without giving reasons if

a) the event jeopardizes smooth business operations
b) the reputation and security of the house are endangered and
c) in the event of force majeure

Under no circumstances is the organizer entitled to assert claims for damages.

11. Accounting
Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date; Transfer free of deduction and free of charge. In the event of a delay in payment, 1% interest on arrears per month must be paid. Unfortunately, credit cards cannot be accepted at banquet events.

12. Management Reservation
The Steinberger Hotels reserve the right to replace promised services with services of the same or higher value, provided the overall layout of the arrangement is not changed or only slightly changed.

13. Complaints
In the event of a complaint, this must be submitted in writing to a responsible person at reception before departure from the hotel. Later complaints cannot be accepted because the reason cannot be understood.

14. Final Provisions
The contractual partners are obliged to exhaust all possibilities to settle discrepancies amicably. If the attempts to reach an agreement out of court fail, the Neulengbach court shall be the place of jurisdiction and Austrian law shall be deemed to have been agreed.
